Dressing for the Interview

OMG! I have an interview at a non-profit organization!  It is a foundation that does some pretty cool things and I think that I would be good fit, I am qualified and excited.  My only problem is that I have nothing to wear to this interview... Let the shopping begin!
Oh that's right, I kinda hate shopping.  I've never been any good at it and might be destine to never have a proper fitting suit.
But that will not stop me!  I'm off to find a classic business suit.  Let the shopping begin...
I live in a relatively small town so options are limited, but I'm sure that I'll find something!
Morning :
  • Set off to shop early, less people will be out.
  • Way fewer people!  Also no shop owners or employees, nothing is open.  But it will be OK!
  • Coffee shops are open so not all is lost, it will still be OK.
  • Finally shops are open!
  • I find a great light gray suit at the first store, why do I hate shopping this is actually kind of exciting.
  • I try on the suit and the top and bottom don't fit quite right, I need a different size.
  • Back to the rack...so this suit is only sold in separates and I can find lots of jackets, and they have the right size, really this is going to be a breeze, but where are the bottoms? Noooooooo! They are out, but it is OK they have lots of suits, there must be one that has a top and a bottom that will fit me.  And YES! I find the right size, I think.
  • I've tried on about 7 suits on by now, and they all have a different fit, so the right size is not the right size unless the right size is also the right fit, I Fucking hate you department store.  But I still need a suit, so I move on.
Afternoon:
  • There are only so many stores that exist in my small town and they mostly sell clothes that I could wear either to the beach or to a basement rock concert not to an interview.  So I continue my search.
  • I find many cute outfits that are see through???? How the eff am I supposed to wear something mostly see-through to a job interview, why do you make this, do people actually wear this stuff to work, it is in the career section.
  • I wish to call my girlfriends they would help me but they are not in town..My friends effing suck why are out of town when I need you!
Why am I hungry?  OH it was about 5 hours ago that I went to the coffee shop. How am I not done!
  • I go back to the first store and decide that I will just buy the black jacket that I tried on earlier (and I was really trying to avoid black) and then find black matching pants.  I found my size in pants and the colors were really close.  The pants were too small! How much weight have I gained! I went up a size and all seemed well.
  • I bought the pants and jacket and headed home.
Evening:
  • About two blocks away I realized that I didn't buy a shirt to go under the jacket, and that seemed even worse than the see-though shirts I had been annoyed with for the better part of the day.  So I swung into a discount department store and found a nice white blouse that I only assumed would look great with the suit since I couldn't bring it in and try the whole outfit on together.
  • Finally I was home and I was done.
The next morning (Still 1 day before the interview):
  • I tried on the suit with the blouse and it was atrocious! Horrible! it was  bad.  By this time I just sick of shopping and was sure that I could come up with something that was already in my closet to pair with the suit.  I finally figure out a combination and finally I was set, I even managed to pick out my jewelry.
The morning of the interview:
  •  I put on my suit and all my accessories and everything looked great! The only thing was I must not have buttoned my pants yet.  I looked down and sure enough they were buttoned and I could pull them right off!  They were entirely too big...period bloating...stress coffee...and just sucking at clothes shopping!  It was too late I had to head to the interview, I just hoped my pants stayed on!
